Class Information

Snack – Snack money is £1 per week. This enables us to provide the children with a variety of fruit every day. This money also pays for class treats. Could you please send this money in on a Monday in a labelled envelope. Children will not need to bring a snack to school each day.

School Dinners – The cost of school dinners is £2.40 per day or £12 per week. All dinner money needs to be paid on a Monday. All monies need to be put in an envelope with your child’s name and class clearly labelled.

Water - Water is important for learning! Children will have access to water when ever they want in class.

School Clothing – Can you please ensure that all school clothing is clearly labelled with your child’s name.

PE clothing – Our designated days for PE sessions will be Thursday.  The children will need a pair of shorts and a t-shirt at school. It may make it easier if you send your child into school on this day with tracksuit
bottoms on to make it easier for them to change themselves.

Pupil Information – If you have not already done so could you please return all information forms for pupils. If you have changed addresses or phone numbers over the Summer, please pop the new information down on a piece of paper and give it to a member of staff.

Reading Folders –

Playing, Learning and Making Friends!

Look how busy we've been in the Grasshoppers Nursery Class!

Time sure flies when you 're having fun, the first half term of the new year has gone in the blink of an eye!  The Grasshoppers have been very busy learning all about our new topic "When I Fall Asleep".  We have been listening to the stories - Owl Babies, Peace at Last and I'm Not Scared, learning all about nocturnal animals and people who work during the night time.  The children have been talking all about bedtime routines and learning to sort and sequence daytime and night time activities. Thanks to everyone who took the time to help the children with designing their pyjamas, we have had some beautiful designs which look great on our wall display.

Learning our Sounds!

Picture
The children have started to learn some initial sounds, we have been on a listening walk around the school to explore the every day sounds around us.  We learn our sounds in phases through the Letters and Sounds scheme of work and have began with 'S', 'A' , 'T' and 'P' so far.  Please practice these sounds at home if you can by playing simple games such as eye spy.
