A Day at the Beach

As part of our 'Land Ahoy' topic we visited Porthcawl.  We were so lucky because the sun shone. We visited the RNLI lifeboat station and saw the lifeboats, had a talk about them from the Harbout Master and looked at all the equipment that lifeboat personnel need to wear when they go out on a rescue.
Then we visited the mariner to look at the boats. Next we went down onto the beach and played on the sand.  After we left the beach we went to the park and played on the pirate ship.  We had a great day !

We had great fun in our Pirate/Sea Party.  All the childen looked fantastic and they had great fun doing lots os pirate activities and playing pirate games.  They made hooks, jewelery and eye patches and walked the plank and played Pirate Hoopla. We had a pirate party with pirate party food.

I would like to give all the children a great, big 'Well Done !' for all the effort they put into their National Tests.  They all tried their best. I am very proud of them all.
