Microsoft Teams is a Microsoft application that has many uses and tools, but most interestingly at the moment, it allows teachers with small groups of children to carry out video calls which can aid in our distance learning at this time.
The first thing that you will need to do is join your child's class/bubble Team by clicking the link in their invitation email. This email has been sent to your child's Hwb email account. After this, you will need to download the Microsoft Teams app and then you should be ready to go! Please watch the videos below to learn how to access Teams through Hwb or take a look at Microsoft's support page for more detail about the app and tutorials.
Accessing Microsoft Outlook (emails) in Hwb
Accessing and downloading the Microsoft Teams desktop app (to download the tablet/phone app, please search for Microsoft Teams in your app store and log in using your child's hwb username and password)

A quick couple of hints and tips for using Microsoft Teams!
Seesaw is a digital learning platform and portfolio which pupils use in school to record their work, complete activities and self/peer assess work. Foundation Phase are going to use this as a base to allocate the majority of home learning tasks whilst school is closed.
Home reading records are not being handed out at the moment to limit the amount of resources being passed between home and school, so we are going to be using Seesaw to record comments instead. Please see the tutorial video below for a step-by-step guide...
Google classroom is a virtual learning space for pupils in Key Stage 2. This allows teachers to communicate with pupils to set work and give instructions. Pupils can also send work to their teacher to check. Tasks can be completed on paper if your child does not have access to a computer or tablet. Please see the user guide and the video below for more information.
A lovely resource we use at school to teach reading is called Giglets. It is a website that gives your child access to hundreds of reading books and stories. They can be read online or as an audio book which can be listened to. Reading test style questions and higher order thinking skills (HOTS) questions will accompany many books. Your child will need their username and password to log in on this website.
Activelearn provides access to Maths game and activities. The games are allocated by teachers for each pupil and are all differentiated. Teachers can then see from their account scores that children have achieved and when they have completed games/activities.
Please see the user guide below for more information.
