Welcome to Autumn Term 2017 in the Caterpillar Class
We look forward to making lots of happy memories this year.
If you ever have any worries or concerns please come and speak to us.  If you have any queries regarding how you can help your child with their learning at home please come and speak to a member of staff.

This is the Caterpillars class page!
Here you'll find information about all of the lovely things we do in our class and any important information you need to know.

Class Information
School starts at 8.45am. The children will be using the main doors in the infant yard to enter and exit. They will finish at 2.50pm. If your child is absent for any reason, please ring Mrs Baker in the office on 730450.
Class Information

Snack – Snack money is £1 per week. This enables us to provide the children with a variety of fruit every day. Could you please send this money in on a Monday in a labelled envelope. Children will not need to bring a snack to school each day.

School Dinners – The cost of school dinners is £2.40 per day or £12 per week. All dinner money needs to be paid on a Monday. All monies need to be put in an envelope with your child’s name and class clearly labelled.

Water bottles - Water is important for learning! Please could you provide your child with a water bottle with their name on that can be kept in school.

School Clothing – Can you please ensure that all school clothing is clearly labelled with your child’s name.

PE clothing – Our designated days for PE sessions will be Monday.  The children will need a pair of shorts and a t-shirt at school. It may make it easier if you send your child into school on this day with tracksuit
bottoms on to make it easier for them to change themselves.

Pupil Information – If you have not already done so could you please return all information forms for pupils. If you have changed addresses or phone numbers over the Summer, please pop the new information down on a piece of paper and give it to a member of staff.

Learning Log – Children will bring home their Learning log every Friday. There will be activities to complete at home. Some activities may be interactive. Please return these folders back to school by Tuesday at the latest.

Important Dates:
8th September - Meet the teacher - 3.10pm.

25th September - Trip to Brecon Mountain Railway
25th October - 'Where in the World' parents event
Monday 30th October - Friday 3rd November - half term

We are currently learning to count to 20 remembering to say teen at the end of the number names as sometimes the children will add 'y' instead. They may say sixty instead of sixteen. We are learning to recognise and write the numbers to 20.
  • We are also to counting past 20 and onwards to 100
  • Backwards from 10 and then backwards from 20
