Welcome to the Spider Class
Mrs A Young and Mrs Hughes

Spiders are currently learning new Nursery Rhymes each week.  We are very busy indeed as we also learn about other special events that crop up throughout the year e.g St. David's Day (Welsh Week), Mother's Day and Easter etc.
All that we do is done through a 'play' based approach to learning, that also incorporates many other vital skills such as, turn-taking, sharing resources and interacting with other adults and children.
We do this in many practical ways that allow us to fully engage in each step of the learning process.

All that we do can be seen by following us on our school Twitter page.  Mrs Young tries to put as many photographs as possible on the Twitter page just so you can see exactly how we spend our time at school.

If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to come and see us before or after school.
Thank you for your support!

Class Information
P.E - Our P.E day is on Tuesday's and we are very much learning to follow instructions and enjoy physical activity using a variety of equipment.
Snack Money - £1 per week please.. We aim to introduce the children to a varied healthy snack.  During this time we also learn and develop essential skills such as preparing our snack e.g chopping up banana or washing fruit in readiness to eat.  We are only young but we can do so much for ourselves.
We each have a Home/School Communication book that is used to pass on important messages between parents and teachers.  Please check them regularly.
Useful Websites
We are using 'Letters and Sounds' phonics in class. The website lets you print off resources to support work sent home from school and has games to support phonic learning. Use Phase 1 and 2.
