Things you can do to help:

Read a story, talk about the pictures and change your voice for the different characters! Be silly and have fun!

Limit screen time and only allow your child to use learning apps and age appropriate games for short periods.

Play! it really is the best way for a child to learn, take turns when playing simple games, sing songs and share toys together. This supports all areas of learning including language development, fine motor skills and social development.

What's new?

Important Dates Coming Up...

     *  October Half-Term -  Monday 26th - Friday 30th October
Although our celebrations will be limited to the classroom this year, over the next few months Grasshopper Nursery will be having lots of fun activities and crafts to learn about:
Halloween
Bonfire Night
Remembrance Day

Reminders

We use our outdoor classroom as much as possible, please make sure your child has weather appropriate outdoor clothing each day.

Please label your child's coats, cardigans and jumpers, it can be very difficult to find the owners of clothing with no labels or name tags on at the end of the school day!

We are not currently having a mid morning snack but the children will still be provided with milk / water throughout the day.

The children will choose a library book to share with their family over the weekend, please return your child's book bag by the following Monday / Tuesday.  Due to Covid 19 regulations, reading books and bags will need to be cleaned and quarantined for 72hours before being sent home again..

Any newsletters or activities to support your child's learning at home will be placed in their book bags on a Friday, these will not need to be returned to school  unless there is a specific home / school task.

Dinner money - Please pay for any school lunches online, you can create an account using your child's unique code (given out during your child's first week). Please ask a member of staff if you have lost or forgot it.
