We have started our journey to becoming witches and wizards at the School of Wizardry this week! Level 1 meant that we had to help the witch to decide what the best ingredients for her potions would be. To do this, we chose different materials to feel with our hands and described them using an adjective. Once we'd done that, we worked with our partner to mix two materials together to create a mixture of our own and see if the texture of the materials changed. We recorded our findings by doing handprints of our chosen materials (including our mixtures at the end!) and writing an adjective underneath each one.

We went searching for colours inside and outside school as part of our investigation into colour for 'Muck, Mess and Mixtures'. We then presented our findings by creating a Pic Collage on the iPads.
We had lots of fun in our Messy Morning which kick-started our topic 'Muck, Mess and Mixtures'. We explored lots of different materials, created pieces of art and carried out scientific experiments!
Welcome to the Butterflies Class! I hope that all of our new Butterflies have had a lovely summer holiday and are now ready to spread their wings in their new class! We have had a delightful first week back and everyone seems to be settling in perfectly. If there are any issues, please feel free to come and have a chat with me as I will usually be on the doors to the yard at the start of school and home time. If you would like to arrange a meeting so we can discuss something in more detail, then either give the office a call or fill out the online form on the Butterflies homepage to arrange a meeting.
